The Fast-Track to Getting Swimsuit Ready

While many people love the warmer weather of Spring and Summer, this season also brings with it a love/hate relationship for many people, all surrounding a particular topic…short and bathing suit season!

Getting the swimsuit and shorts out from the closet often triggers a unique response in many people, and a renewed and often urgent desire to look better fast. The most common concerns, especially for women, are weight, cellulite, and spider veins.

Often times people are not sure where to begin, or what treatments, diets, procedures and products work the best. Unfortunately many people find themselves frustrated at the lack of results from things they have tried, and instead of finding that renewed confidence in their bodies they find themselves avoiding certain activities or hiding behind layers of clothes.

My goal has always been to help empower people to fell great on the inside and to feel great about how they look on the outside. In this post I want to present for your consideration a list of the fastest and most effective procedures to address the areas that may be preventing you from getting out there and enjoying yourself the way you would really like to.

Fat Reduction:

Muffin tops, love handles, saddle bags, thunder thighs, the spare tire…these are all common names for the areas that are the hardest to get rid of with diet and exercise, but there are technologies to help us address them without surgery.

The two most effective ways to reduce fat on the body is either by heating or freezing the fat cells. Fat cells will go through apoptosis (natural cell death) if kept below or above certain temperature thresholds for extended periods of time. These fat cells are then removed from the body through the lymphatic system and are gone permanently.

The process of heat induced apoptosis is called Thermolipolysis, and freezing fat cells to induce apoptosis is called Cryolipolysis. The two most effective treatments are Vanquish ME, which uses heat, and Coolsculpting, which uses cold. Depending on what areas you are concerned about and how much fat you have would determine which of these procedures would be best for you.

Vanquish ME:

Vanquish Before and AfterThis procedure uses radio frequency to heat the fat cells while leaving the skin and underlying muscle protected. Vanquish ME can effectively treat the upper and lower abdomen, flanks, upper thighs, upper arms, and back. The treatment uses a large curved applicator that can treat large circumferential areas of the body at one time. This treatment is ideal if you have larger areas of fat or are looking for circumferential reduction.

CoolsculptingThis procedure uses cooling technology to freeze fat cells while leaving the skin unharmed. Due to it’s smaller applicator sizes Coolscupting is best used for spot treatments that allow us to precisely target trouble areas. A wide array of applicator shapes and sizes makes Coolscupting very versatile and can even address the area of fat under the chin (double chin).

Cellulite Reduction:

Cellulite, cottage cheese, orange peel, whatever you call it…women hate it! A recent study showed that 80% of women over the age of 20 begin to develop cellulite. Cellulite can also affect women of any weight and can be very difficult to get rid of it. Thankfully new technologies now allow us to effectively treat cellulite and greatly reduce it’s appearance!

The most effective methods for reducing cellulite are radio frequency, nd:YAG lasers, and shockwave therapy. Each of these methods work in different ways to achieve the same goal, to smooth out and reduce the lumpy appearance of your skin. Often times the best approach to addressing cellulite is by combining two or more of these treatment methods.

Exilis ULTRA:

Exilis Before and AfterThis treatment delivers both radio frequency and ultrasound energy. In fact, it is the first skin tightening and cellulite reduction device to simultaneously transmit radio frequency and ultrasound energy. The combination of these two energies is what sets it apart from other treatments.

By using both energies, Exilis ULTRA is able to not only reduce cellulite but also lift and tighten the treated area. Some results can be seen immediately, but most results are seen over the course of a few months as new skin cells and collagen continue to form.

This treatment can be conducted on any skin type or color and requires no downtime. The most common ares treated with Exilis ULTRA include the thighs, buttocks, abdomen, and flanks, but can be conducted virtually anywhere.

TightlaseThis treatment delivers two separate wavelengths of laser light into the skin. Each wavelength treats the skin in a different manner, yet work together for a more comprehensive treatment.

The first wavelength is an nd:YAG laser that goes in and treats the deep dermis layer of the skin to shrink the fatty tissues, and smooth out the appearance of cellulite. The second wavelength is a gentle fractionated laser that causes an immediate contraction and tightening of the skin. The combination of these wavelengths achieves skin results previously only achieved with surgery!

This treatment is also 100% colorblind. This means that, unlike many other laser procedures, regardless of your skin tone or ethnicity you can take advantage of this amazing procedure. TightSculpting can be conducted anywhere on the face or body where tighter, smoother skin is desired.

This treatment uses powerful, targeted vibrations called shockwave therapy. This technology can be used as a standalone treatment for addressing cellulite, but is more commonly used in conjunction with Vanquish ME and Exilis ULTRA to produce even greater outcomes. It does this by helping to increase blood supply, resulting in better lymphatic drainage and improved elimination of fat cells.

Laser Spider Vein Removal:

Laser Spider Vein RemovalSpider veins are something that most women hate when summer comes along and the shorts, skirts, and swimsuits come out. Women are much more likely to experience spider veins as pregnancy commonly causes them due to an increase in pressure against the inferior vena cava.

Traditionally spider veins had to be treated with injections used to collapse the veins. This was both painful and time consuming. Laser spider vein removal now enables us to easily treat spider veins virtually anywhere on the body and even the face in a matter of minutes.

Lasers remove spider veins by heating the blood vessels to the point where it causes the vein wall to collapse. You can notice the disappearance of many of the treated spiders veins immediately, while some may take up to 4 months to completely disappear.

Laser Hair Removal:

laser hair removalMaintaining smooth legs requires shaving them virtually everyday…but not anymore. Laser hair removal allows you to throw away the razors and the shaving cream for good! Laser hair removal works by sending targeted beams of light into the hair follicles, damaging them and preventing them from growing.

Each individual hair on your body actually goes through different phases of growth and rest, so during treatment some hairs will be effected and some will not. This is why a series of 4-8 laser treatments are needed to remove all the hair follicles.

Traditionally laser hair removal has been a painful treatment, however, the latest in laser hair removal technology has now made it virtually painless…and this is the only kind of laser we use!
