Affected Areas

Virtually any part of your face, neck, chest or body that has uneven skin tone, diffuse redness, Rosacea, or sun damage can be safely treated with Limelight IPL. Areas such as: face, chest, shoulders and arms are the most popular areas for treatment because they have typically experience more sun exposure than other areas of the body. The Limelight IPL is a superior laser since it utilizes state-of-the-art technology and has advanced settings that are customizable for each patient. It is recommended for patients that have a lighter skin complexion and have not been exposed to UV rays within 2 weeks of the treatment.

How Limelight IPL Works

The Limelight IPL treatment uses advanced non-laser IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) technology. We gently deliver precise amounts of light energy to the area being treated. The light passes through the skin’s surface to help release stubborn sun spots, reduce blood flow to broken capillaries and stimulate collagen production. The new collagen softens the appearance of the skin, reducing the effects of aging such as: enlarged pores, fine lines and wrinkles. It is also extremely effective in treating redness and acne associated with rosacea.

Limelight IPL Recovery

There is no downtime with Limelight IPL Photofacial. Some patients can experience pinkness or redness, similar to sunburn, that fades within a couple hours. Darkening of the skin can occur in patients being treated for hyper-pigmentation and diminishes within a few days after treatment. All patients are encouraged to wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen and avoid excessive exposure to UV after their treatment to avoid recurrence of sun damage.
