Bio Identical hormones have a chemical structure identical to the hormones that the human body naturally produces. They are typically compounded by a specially certified pharmacist who compounds each prescription to specifically to match each individuals needs. Common sources are yams and soy. Synthetic hormones act as a toxin because their chemical makeup cannot be metabolized correctly by the body. One common source for synthetic hormones is urine from pregnant mares.
