When you hear the word ‘facial’ in the name, you immediately have a picture in your mind of your average cleansing, steaming, mask and perhaps some extractions that you would receive at your average facial treatment. The Hydrafacial goes far beyond that-it can accomplish so much more in the same time as your typical facial. And does it really work? I can honestly say that it’s worth all the hype!
Who is it recommended for?
Everyone. Every skin type can benefit from it. The treatment is very customizable to what your needs are.
What does it do?
- Cleanse and Exfoliate: The Hydrafacial uses a suction mechanism call ‘Vortex-Fusion’ throughout the procedure. Initially, textured applicators are passed over the skin to exfoliate and deeply clean the skin, removing dead skin cells.
- Glycolic Peel: This non-irritating peel provides great results by loosening dirt and debris from pores.
- Extractions: The Vortex-Fusion suction technology draws out impurities from clogged pores much more efficiently than manual extractions.
- Hydration: Depending on what issues you’re trying to address, special blends of anti-oxidants and other treatment serums are infused into the skin. Because of the previous steps in the process, the skin is better able to receive these serums on a much deeper level, to provide amazing results.
How is it unique?
It uses a very unique technology called Vortex-Fusion. By using a series of ‘HydroPeel tips’, skin is exfoliated-then the spiral design ‘creates a vortex effect to easily dislodge and remove impurities while simultaneously introducing hydrating skin solutions and potent antioxidants.’ Another aspect of the Hydrafacial that is unique is that it is actually treating the skin, addressing specific issues. After a series of treatments, patients can expect marked improvement with things like:
- sun damage
- oily skin
The Hydrafacial is wonderful in that you will see results both immediately and as time progresses. For instance, if you have a special event that you’d like to look your best at, you can have a Hydrafacial done the day before and you will be absolutely glowing. If the facials are continued, perhaps once a month, after several treatments, you’ll see significant improvement in your complexion. Maybe you’re hoping for less noticeable fine lines and wrinkles, smaller pores, or elimination of sun damage. The Hydrafacial can help you get the complexion that we all try to create with makeup!
