12 Days of Wellness, Day 8: Start with Protein

One of the best ways to get your metabolism going in the morning is to start your day with a plant-based, protein-rich smoothie. Not only are smoothies quick and easy, but they can be enjoyed on-the-go and when made with proper ingredients, can offer an incredible amount of nutrition.

One of my favorite smoothie recipes is my Superfood Smoothie, which can be found here. The ingredients in this shake are power-packed with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, all of which can help boost your immune system, increase your energy levels and have anti-aging effects as well. Not to mention, it’s made with my pure, plant-based protein powder, which is made of peas and free of sugar, so it keeps me feeling full and satisfied. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
