In Laser, Laser Treatment, Toe Fungus, Yeast Overgrowth

We recently had a wave of new patients joining us that have been suffering from fungal infections on their toes and were interested in our specialized laser toe treatment.  So many people, both men and women, from all walks of life and all ages are struggling with the same issues.  It seems that fungus does not discriminate!  It raises the question, ‘Where is the fungus coming from?’ and ‘Why are so many different people affected by it?’

Some of my patients know exactly where they became infected-some will say it was from walking around barefoot in the locker room at their local gym.  Others suspect unsterilized tools being used at their nail salon.  But for others, it was a mystery.  What did they all have in common?

My approach to medicine is holistic-looking at the whole person, not just a symptom.  Yes, we can address the Toe Fungus with a laser treatment to kill the fungus around the nail area. But we also need to address the root cause of the fungus.

Have you ever taken antibiotics?  Then you may have issues with yeast overgrowth in your body, also known as Candidiasis.  When you take antibiotics, you are getting rid of the ‘bad’ bacteria in your system, but unfortunately, it will simultaneously diminish the ‘good’ bacteria that your body needs, specifically in your digestive system.  Without the good bacteria, there is nothing to regulate the yeast in your body.  Subsequently, yeast growth runs rampant in your bloodstream and can affect areas that seem unrelated.

An overgrowth of yeast in your system can manifest itself in various ways.  Some symptoms include:

  • digestive issues: bloating, gas, diarrhea, acid reflux
  • vaginal yeast infections
  • thrush
  • athlete’s foot
  • various skin irritations and conditions, such as eczema and acne
  • and yes, toenail fungus

If you are dealing with toe fungus issues, a specialized laser treatment can help kill the fungal infection that you’re currently experiencing.  But by addressing the internal issues that may be the root cause of the fungus, we can prevent you from suffering again and again in the future.
